Please keep up the prayers
« on: May 22, 2009, 05:00:45 PM »

My wife and Myself have been separated about 5 years ago when our youngest one left the nest. We have remained good friends
and often see each other at family gatherings etc. We have four children. Last Sunday she visited our oldest son and left to go home after lunch. She is employed at a large interdenominational church and on Monday afternoon they phoned to say that she had not been at work and the landlord where she stays also had not seen her since Sunday morning.

After phoning numerous hospitals, police stations etc we found that she had been involved in a motor accident and that she was airlifted to hospital from the scene of the accident. She had already been operated on an has a fractured scull, bleeding on the brain, suspected brain damage, broken ribs and chest bone.

Her name is Yvonne and I would appreciate your prayers for her, as well as my children who are having a difficult time coping with it all.

God Bless

Stephen

Stephen, how very sad. I pray she will be restored and I pray for her children and you. How very much we are all alike, able to relate to your family's pain, so with my heart I pray for her recovery. I can just feel the pain of her children and you. judy

dear stephen,
i am so sad to hear about yvonne. i also will pray for her full recovery with no residual side effects. i pray for your children and you, that you all can be comforted. please don't loose sight of the fact that all of you are in God's capable hands. at times like these it is hard to understand how the kind of suffering yvonne and the rest of your family are going through can have any positives to it. but take heart in knowing that, as you are aware, God caused the circumstances and He knows for what purpose. keep your children close by you and continue to show them your love and your strength. please let us know how yvonne is progressing.

My prayers also go out to you and your family.

I carry an ECC (Emergency Contact Card) in my wallet. I live 1,000 miles away from any family, and the card has my mom and brothers contact info.
You can print the ECC off the Red Cross website or an ICE (In Case of Emergency) card at other sites for no charge.

Many prayers for Yvonne and you and your children.

I know it must be very hard waiting to see what she will face in recovery.

Just wanted to add to those that have a cell phone.

You can Log an ICE [In Case of Emergency] listing in your phone also.

Ex;    John Doe ICE

         555-123-4567

You can use as many as you want in a specific order if needed.

ICEICEICE 3 and so on.

Law officials and health care workers will then know who to contact.

Peace...Mark

Thanks to all who have been praying for Yvonne and our family.

Just to let you know that she is still in a coma but has shown some positive signs in the last few days.
She has opened her eyes on a few occasions and squeezes your hand when you squeeze hers. She is
also breathing unaided.

Please keep up the prayers. We have faith that God is going to perform a miracle.

Yours in Christ
