HELP!!!!!!!

Right before coming in here. God gave me a thought . I was thinking about leaving my church of many years. It was not a huge church. But, I often sang solo and sometimes with someone else. But, mostly alone. I use to be so shy and for years I did not let anyone know I could sing. But, that time spent there I became use to singing. Well, God told me to leave that church because of things he showed me about the church. I had no idea why , but he led me to a larger church. I told God, I will never be able to sing in a large church like that. Well, I never did.
But, this church was going all out for the worldly things. At there Christmas program they had it all decorated inside with trees and wrapped gifts. I continued to go for a while. It was as if God told me look at all this. It is even worse then where you were. Not saying all those people were bad. Some of them had very kind hearts.
God asked me if I loved him or my music most. Well, I loved him most. I see nothing wrong with singing. I see that you all are wanting to get the true message of the Good News out there. But, if I sing it will be to God alone or until we all get up there and sing his praises. I would not say I was a fantastic singer, but most have told me my voice was unique. I always tried to find songs about his Love. I do not write songs. But, I sure do love singing a song to God alone . But, if you all feel you can do this without the carnal side taking over, and if God leads you do it, that is all up to you.
I do wish there were more christian songs that taught the true message. I do know, there was some who believed the way we do, that wrote songs in the 1700"s and 1800's. One, of the most beautiful songs ever wrote in my opinion is How Great Thou Art, but how may people believe it. Most, think he is too weak to redeem his children he created.
Ecclesiastes Chapter 1 verse 9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done; and there is no new
thing under the sun.
verse 10 Is there any thing where of it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
God has certainly over the generations had people who believed there is no Hell. But, the thing is, that God has only choosen a few from each generations to understand and believe . Ray has been blessed by God. God has blessed us by the foolish preaching of Ray his servant. I guess I want to spend most of my time on learning from God and uplift Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
I am not your judge. Its just the place God has me. But, there have been many people who believe like this in earlier generations who have written songs.
But, time have changed and the old songs have been discarded for worship songs which repeat themselves over and over and have no message for the most part. If, you can write a song that shows God's Glory then have at it I say.

I must say,being able to come here and be with like minded believers may not be a song of sorts, but the Love here sure puts a song into my heart.
Have I told you lately how much I Love all of you. If what we have here at BT's is not of the Spirit,then I do not know what is... ;) :)

Hi Larissa, I hear ya. I really like to listen to music and sing along. In the past it was all about feeding my carnality with all kinds of messed up music, but lately Im trying to see God in the music I listen to. Im not really into "christian" music, though I do like some. Im really into the so called "secular" kind of music, like pop rock, hard rock, R&B and alternative. Ive noticed SOMETIMES there is actually a lot more truth in the mainstream stuff, but thats just me. An example of this type of music is from Beyonces "halo", I just cant help but to think of Jesus when I hear that song. Obviously when you watch the video its about her and a guy, but I just substitute it for Jesus and I. Anyway just wanted you to know I'm a big music fan and I would love to hear you sing. Maybe we can do a collaboration or something? You write and sing and I can do back up vocals, and we can glorify our Lord together! I love doing backup, and Im not half bad according to my wife. Lets just remember to keep our eyes on the prize!
Oh by the way I had read somewhere where brother Ray says something to the effect that we as humanity is/are 666, which is missing the mark (sin,carnality,the beast within) of 777 which is perfection of God. Although he did not specifically say those exact words, that is what it seemed like to me. I could be way off, and I would hate to mislead you, forgive me. Maybe someone with more knowledge of Scripture and where Ray said something similar to this can help you more better.

To put it simply, this is what I reckon.
Right hand = symbol of WORKS
Forehead = symbol of THOUGHTS
You will find this same symbolism elsewhere in the bible.
Those tainted with the mark THINK like the beast and do EVIL works.
