Good discussion. I just ask myself...what's the point? For me, music is a story. It's should be like reading a good book. Liquid poetry. It's no different then typing, or writing a story or message. It could be a true story or in parable form. This can be accomplished with both music and lyrics, separately or together. Sadly, most music and lyrics today are created to satisfy the carnal.
