I had my heart broken today...

<< < (2/2)

Marlene:
Well, Kathy of course I will pray for Marty. I have been a diabetic for years. I have tried to take care of myself. But, we all have moments. I thank God I have never had a desire to drink. I have had drinks before, but it was nothing that I really enjoyed.

All kind of things can raise your sugars. Stress, Poor Diet, and Illness. I know because I have had perfect days, but let me be stressed out and up the sugars go. Or , if you have a cold or an infection. It is a constant battle. Drinking is really not good for it . It is dangerous to take the meds and drink.
But, he knows he is wrong. God will help him overcome. I also, take medications that make you crave sweets. That, is a real battle.

In His Love,
Marlene

G. Driggs:
Praying for Marty, healing and mercy.

Joh 11:4  When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. (KJV)

2Co 4:17  Our troubles are small. They last only for a short time. But they are earning for us a glory that will last forever. It is greater than all our troubles.
2Co 4:18  So we don't spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can't see. What can be seen lasts only a short time. But what can't be seen will last forever. (NIrV)

These verses are just as much for me, as they are for Marty.

Peace, G.Driggs

The results of diabetes can be devastating. My wife has type 2, not badly, but I know it is a constant battle. I pray that God will take up the battle for Marty and that he will keep his leg.
