Watched a couple minutes. Couldn't stand the sound of his voice.
Bad fiddle, sounds like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"

Hi Dave, You are right about the slasher thing. The same mentality used to produce these slaughter movies is the same one as these
hell-boys use to manipulate people.
They are designed to terrify you and and at the same time hold you in their grasp, giving them control over your fears. Once they hook some poor soul, it's like 24/7.

That's got to be the saddest thing I ever heard :'(  The DRAMA!! Did you hear anything about the extreme love of a passionate God in THAT sermon?? Did you hear anything about a Father who loves His children with a love that will go to ANY length to save them?? WHAT kind of god does he serve? Thank you, Musicman..that is such a reminder of why we do NOT partake of THAT cup anymore!! I am so glad that MY God and MY Father loves me and would never toss me away like that, no matter how far away I go! Every second some idiotic preacher tells people that God is a god of hate, vengeance, and pain..very, very sad..... :'(
My God?? Passionate, loving, merciful, and longsuffering!!  :D :D

Angie,
My grandsons used to go to a Baptist school, the pastor of that church is so passionate about keeping people out of hell, I have heard him preach and I am always thinking he's going to have a stroke. He REALLY believes that so many people are going to burn for eternity in hell. I have thought if we used all that passion to show people how loving God is and what an awesome Father He is, a lot of pain and mental anguish could be relieved, I guess all is in God's plan.. I've told about this before, but my 12 year old grandson asked him how it is that people will go to hell for eternity when death AND hell are going to be cast into the lake of fire!! Sometimes it only takes a moment of thought. Children can understand that God is a GOOD and LOVING Father!!

How funny,

I left a comment for that video a few hours ago which stated that

"Nobody is in hell right now. The wages of sin is death NOT eternal life in hellfire Rom 6:23. [Also added like 10 verses for people to look up]. Dead people are dead waiting for the 'resurrection of the dead'.

Jesus never spoke of hell, he spoke of Gehenna--valley of Hinnom, and Hades--unseen.

Amazing what a Bible Concordance will reveal [smiley face]
."

[not exact; based on my memory... ]

Just went back to see if anybody replied to my comment.. but it WAS GONE! VANISHED! DELETED!  ??? :o Apparently, the video poster had no intelligent reply, so he decided rather to delete my comment and hope that nobody noticed..

Haha.. that's weird.  :D

Daywalker,
Sometimes to some people the truth is scarier than the lies!! When people are afraid and don't know how to answer,  their reaction is to ignore it and when possible...get rid of it! Funny..how can "God will save EVERYONE" be scarier than "Choose Christ or God will throw you into hell where you will burn and continue to burn for eternity"? I don't get it!! Just ask Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort! They are so sure of a forever burning hell that they'll accost people on the street and threaten them with eternal damnation..how RUDE!!

Let's see...where is that scripture that says "Accept Jesus or ELSE!"  Oh, what? There isn't one?? heehee!! :o :P

How about "...mercy triumphs over (rejoiceth against) judgment." Js 2:13 ?? hmm? If God's judgments (in hell fire) are eternal, how in the world can MERCY rejoice over it?? duh!

So true, Kathy.

He even quoted Rev 14:10 [I can't believe that he did, but he did!] as proof that many will burn forever in real fire forever

"The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:"

So he's saying that we have HOLY [not Evil but H-O-L-Y] angels and a LAMB [not a Lion, nor Serpent, but a L-A-M-B] watching people being literally tortured with real fire and brimstone [why the brimstone? oh, who cares, it says brimstone.. picky picky]

Yea, if that's a literal future event I doubt anyone or any thing HOLY will be there watching... certainly not a LAMB!! Sometimes I forget how bad it really is in Babylon... and then I see a video like this. Disgusting!

I could only take about two minutes of this poor soul.  :o He's going to need a psychiatrist some day.  :-\ His name is Tim Conway. Tim Conway was a comedian. He's no Tim Conway. More like a Saddam Hussein or Vincent Price. If you know who Vincent Price is ("The Fly", "House of Wax", "Fright Fest", "Bloodbath at the House of Death", "Dr. Phibes Rises Again", "The Raven", "The Keys of the Kingdom" etc. etc.) you have been around for awhile.  ;D

Hey Daywalker, I posted a comment as well stating the truths of the salvation of all men and I just went back to it and it was GONE!!! And it only took about 3 minutes for them to delete it! Seems their heart just cannot bare the truth. Very sad indeed.

Yep, the sad part is that it's obvious that not only are they themselves deceived, but they're willfully deceiving others.

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets have prophesied falsely, And the priests bear rule by their means, And My people have loved [it] so, And what do they at its latter end?

Jeremiah 50:6 A perishing flock has My people been, Their shepherds have caused them to err, [To] the mountains causing them to go back, From mountain unto hill they have gone, They have forgotten their crouching-place

May God be merciful; they know not what they do...

Regarding Fire and Brimstone,
I recall that Ray wrote about that and I think he explained it that Fire provided heat and the brimstone in the fire was a purifying agent.  The brimstone was most likely the chemical sulfur.

Regarding what the preacher said in the first minute: I think that he has a point. Lots of people who believe in an eternity in hell fire still don't believe that it applies to them.  They may talk about hell fire being the fate of non-believers or those who don't attend their particular church, but when a close relative dies they make all kinds of excuses to explain why their beloved parent is not consigned to the hell fire that they think that they believe in for others.

It seems confusing and it certainly is a double standard.  They think that those who go to church are already saved although even a member parent who hasn't attended for years other than for weddings or funerals will still go to heaven because of the prayers of their children and other loved ones.

That may be why the Tim Conway has an audience.  These folks recognize the weaknesses and sins of men but don't include themselves in that category.  They are not terrible sinners, just children who make a few mistakes for which they are sorry.
I can just imagine the surprise that they will have when resurrected to judgment.  Shock at not being in heaven with wings or some such thing and on the other hand relief that what they are facing is a merciful Lord and savior in the fiery purification process.

Fear mongering such as this seems to carry over into our child rearing processes and it is a shame because there is so much of God's creation to teach our children to look forward to and to anticipate with joy.

Hello everyone.

While on Tim's video page two days ago, I skimmed through a few others and bumped into Paul Washer. I know he misses the part where some are administrators and helpers in the church. Or that every part is responsible for different tasks in order for the body to function as a whole. So I do admit that this purporting missionary work as the one and only true way of christianity is wrong. And there're also talks about hell  :P

But the way this man preaches repentance has got me thinking. We may be 'comfortable' with sinning because we know that GOD is the ONE who does the changing (I've seen threads on the subject). But we also know that GOD is not 'comfortable' with sin. We see this from Genesis to Revelations. This is not sarcastic: is it pleasing to GOD for us to continue sinning? To keep practicing it?

I dont mean to come down on people. I dont know what they get up to. But I know what I get up to. And this man's videos have helped me see that I ought to grovel and weep. Maybe I'm being hard on myself. And I'm definitely not 'deceived' by his antics or something like that. Sin isn't fulfilling. I don't know why we don't have any record of apostle Paul, the called & chosen chief sinner, continuing in sin after he was converted but I cant help but wonder...

All Glory to GOD

Oh, here's an example of the preaching I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWMrKcFKqzk&feature=channel
I dont know if you hear anything here but please listen to the entire thing. Sorry if it appears I'm breaking the rules but like apostle Paul said, I rejoice that here, at the very least, Christ is preached.
