words make all the difference
« on: August 21, 2009, 07:01:10 PM »

just a little something i wanted to share with you all....
last night had a pretty bad night...couldn't sleep, up & down...
so i started reciting to myself:
rom 8:28   "God is working all together for the good of those who are loving
                Him."
over and over, over and over..........2 am,......3 am......
then i began to ask myself, "lovely words, but do i REALLY believe them?"
do i? In my head i really want to, but what about deep down in my heart?

then Ray's voice began to ring in my ears:
"Think.  Think about the words.  You've got to pay attention to the WORDS."
(how many of you have heard him say this over and over on his audios?)

so i began to think:

1.  "God"    (who is love, who never fails, who can never lie, who gave his son,
who so loved the world, ect, ect.....)
2. "is working" (that means He is right here in the middle of ALL OF THIS, not
way off somewhere, not looking, not noticing what is going on here, He is AT WORK, IN THE TRENCHES WITH US)
3. "ALL together"  (all means ALL! everything that happens, every circumstance)

4. "FOR THE GOOD"  (what is good? 1Ti 2:3  For this     is   GOOD and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 1Ti 2:4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

5. "Of those who are loving Him" (i know that i love God, so that means me!)

so as i pondered this in my mind, i got a wave of peace and comfort, and i knew for the first time that i REALLY DID believe this scripture, NO MORE DOUBTS...and if you really do believe this scripture, you have the assurance that some how, some day EVERYTHING is going to be "okay".....

finally 5 am...sleep

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED WEEK END!

Lauriellen, This really speaks to me today. Although, we go through great trials he is with us. I don't doubt that he is with me. But, going through them are hard when we take our eyes off of him and put them on the trial. Thanks so much for this.

In His Love,
Marlene
