Back in my "Babylonian days" the people I hung around w/ were always saying "God told me this" or "God told me that". or worse yet..."So I said, andthen God said...and I said back..." Unbelievable!!! Yet,  I was always so bummed that I never HEARD God say anything to me even tho I was suspicious that God talked to them like that.

But His working in and thru my life was very evident and I soon realized God was always w/ me and loved me.  I didn't need to HEAR an audible voice like those pretenders said!

Hi...
Can the Lord or the holy spirit speak through some one . & that person does not have any idear of what he / she has said . before or after . & to see the words writen in front of them . & is then able to speak them yet speaks with the power thats been given to do so. meaning . the serpent can do the same thing & does .  i am talking about a person who is in tune with the Lord .yet that person would not wont to do that on there own . or be in the lime  light . really would be quiet  & not say a thing .
yet has been given to do so .
& if its right even a donky has been used . or the serpent . thats some what different . & is not a part of my first ?  just a after thought .
 ...noeleena...

--- Quote from: shaine on October 03, 2009, 05:09:22 PM ---Ok, so I was chatting with my wife recently about this issue, hearing the voice of God.

Some people have claimed to have heard the voice of God, but I don't think that is even possible.

One thing that had me stumped, though, was when Jesus and the 3 disciples went on the mount to witness the Transfiguration. Now, I know that this was a vision because Jesus says" Tell the vision to no one", but in that vision they hear the voice of God.

But Jesus also said that "Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape." John 5:37

I guess my question is...Did the Disciples hear God's voice and no one else did?

Hope that question wasn't worded too strangely.

Thanks,

Shaine

Exo 19:3 Moses, he ascended to the One, Elohim. Then Yahweh called to him from the mountain, saying: Thus shall you say to the house of Jacob and tell to the sons of Israel,
Exo 19:4 You have seen what I did to the Egyptians when I bore you on vultures' wings and brought you to Myself.
Exo 19:5 Now, if you shall hearken, yea hearken to My voice and observe My covenant then you will become Mine, a special possession, above all the peoples, for Mine is all the earth.
Exo 19:6 As for you, you shall become Mine, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.(CLV)

Num 7:89 Whenever Moses came into the tent of appointment to speak with Him then he would hear the voice of Yahweh speaking to him above the propitiatory shelter which was on the coffer of the testimony; it was from between the two cherubim that He spoke to him.(CLV)

Deu 4:12 and Yahweh spoke to you from the midst of the fire; you were hearing the sound of words, yet you were not seeing a physical representation, nothing except a voice.(CLV)

Deu 4:36 From the heavens He let you hear His voice, to discipline you, and on the earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words from the midst of the fire.(CLV)

2Pe 1:17 For He got from God, the Father, the honor and glory of the voice, being carried to Him in such a way by the Glory Magnifical: "This is My Son, the Beloved, in Whom I delight!"(CLV)

2Pe 1:18 And this voice we hear being carried out of heaven, being together with Him in the holy mountain."(CLV)

I was Looking at the very same scripture and trying to get a handle on what Ray says about the voice of God and the messengers voices but these sound like it is refering to the direct voice of God.
