and where do we start?

with faith, correct?

Mar 5:6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

NOW:

2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

what things???

3His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

4Thereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

5And besides this, using all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge,

6and to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience, and to patience godliness,

7and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness charity.

8For if these things be in you and abound, they make you that ye shall be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

ned:
Luke 10:18-20 "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightening fall from heaven. Behold I give unto you power to tread on  serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."

I have hope by this passage that I will someday be able to overcome the enemy in this lifetime. Because Jesus has overcome the evil one (John 16:33), is the only reason we, his followers, can also overcome.

Although, when I think of Paul's "thorn in the flesh", evil is used to weaken us, and God then tells us His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2Cor12:7-9).

So, I guess we will have to endure to the very end?! If my weakness makes me stronger in the Lord that makes me want to lean on Him that much more.

Humbling...
