When I get on these kind of things, God usually clears it up for me after I've chewed it to pieces.
As for now I'm a bit confused, and maybe some disappointment too. Oh well, its not my first time to come to a rough spot in the road, and it won't be my last.
I know I have some rebel in me. Its the way I grew up. I don't know if I'll ever get rid of all of it, but I want to. and do try to. I know we are not to be of this world, and all is in Gods time, but I live in this world and admit that I can't escape it, so I try to fight it and oppose it.Yes I'm carnal and am always fighting the beast, but I never give up the fight.
I hated my stepfather with a passion. He use to make me go out on the street and fight the biggest school bully, and sometimes 2 or three of them. He would threaten to beat me within an inch of my life if I didn't get out there and fight. He meant what he said. Many times I couldn't walk for a week because of the damage he did to me, so I would go out and fight with all I had in me, and I was a runt way smaller than anyone, but I beat those bullys up every single time because I had a reason to fight. Well the fight is still in me but not like that. You get my point. Only God can fix me. I can't do it. I also believe in watching a brothers back, being there for him.
OK, so you think I'm messed up. Well I know I am but really who isn't?

Thanks again.
Roy

1 Cor 9:25-27  Everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified [NKJV]

1 Tim 6:10-12  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Keep the faith Roy,

Marques

Roy Martin:
Thanks Marques.
 Keeping the faith.
In time you will see that I'm not afraid of falling, nor am I afraid of getting back up.
I don't know you personally, but in a heart beat I would be there to defend you, watch your back as the term I grew up with. I would give you my last dollar and give you the shirt off my back. I only weigh 140 so the shirt might not fit, but I would give it to you.Why would I do that? Its just the way I am. You are my brother in Christ, so I don't feel like I have but one choice, and that is to do what is the honorable thing to do. This might be a carnal thing, I don't know. I would also do this for a complete stranger if it was in my heart. A little story if no one minds. I was sitting in my car at my dads house years ago when this guy at least 6-7 feet tall came out of his house cussing at his wife, and this little puppy walked up to him. He picked up the puppy and started beating it. I came out of my car with fire in my eyes, yelled at the guy as I approached him saying beat on me like that, and a few not to mention angry words. He saw no fear in my eyes as I was going to beat the heck out of this guy. To my surprise he turned to run into his house yelling something at me. Just as he slammed the door I hit the door with both feet knocking it open just in time to see him going out the back door running down the street. Oh I was so darn mad and really wanted to do some damage to him, but man this guy could run with that 6-7 foot tall body and legs. I went straight through his house and out the back door. He was gone out of sight.
OK! enough of that story, but the point is I stand up for what is right, and can't keep from defending someone or something in need whether it be physical, spiritual, or just moral support.

Peace
Roy

Ninny:
Roy that just made me laugh!! I have always thought you remind me of my dad!! haha!! My dad was a man of small stature but a HUGE heart!! He was maybe 5'4 and if he was all wet he may have weighed 130 pounds!! But he was NOT afraid of anything! One time there was a bull in his pen of cows..(He was a dairy farmer) and that bull tried to get him every time he went into the pen, so one day my dad had had enough and he took a big ole syringe with him to the pen and when the bull came at him he just jammed that needle into the bull's neck and gave him a nice shot of air and the bull died instantly!! No one ever messed with my dad! hahaha!! I never saw him ever be mean to an animal except for that! I got my dad's size, but NOT his nerve!!  :D We gotta be there for each other, dude! and that's the truth! I'm not very scrappy, but I like to give hugs, that's my way of helping out!!  :D :D :D
Kathy ;) :-*
