Parables
« on: November 25, 2009, 05:06:55 PM »

Hey Ray:

In #4 video, from your 2009 Mobil conference, there is reference to the parable of “Luk 16:19  There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: “, you stated, there was a word connecting this parable to the other four. Ray, what is this connecting word? I know that it’s a parable, but the connecting word, escapes me. Please advise.

Have a blessed day!
Frank

Dear Frank:

"What MAN of you................................ "(Luke 15:4).
"Either WHAT WOMAN....................... "(Luke 15:8).
"A CERTAIN MAN................................ " (Luke 15:11).
"There was a CERTAIN RICH MAN...." (Luke 16:1).
"There was a CERTAIN RICH MAN...." (Luk. 16:19).

How "connected" can one get?
And the last two start off IDENTICALLY!
One has to be sinfully stubborn to not see that all of these stories are parables.
If it would help their argument to support an eternal hell-hole of insane torture, if
Lazarus really WAS a parable, then every theologian on earth would vehemently
insist that Lazarus is a parable.  Whatever is expedient to their unsciptural heresy,
that's what they will teach.
Hope that helps you, Frank.

God be with you,
Ray
