Dear Peggy,
 I know that life gets rough sometimes and when it does, we most always feel that all that we hold dear will be lost.  I have been there so I do know the sadness you must feel in your heart. It was only a few weeks ago that I too, felt so overwhelmed.  As I felt this, I kept thinking in my mind to read Romans 8 so I did.  Here are the last few verses, they were so encouraging to me:

Rom. 8:36-  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
 37-Nay, in all these we are more than conquers through him that loved us. 38-For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39-Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Father's love is so different than what we are used to. I know for a fact that no matter what happens to us, He will hold us up through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  It is just as Ray said, we fall and He stands us up!!
