Hi Roy.

It might be something else. Maybe your arm was already injured before you thought it was due to over use. A common injury with guitar players is called RSI. Repetitive Stress Injury. Here is a link I found explaining it a little.

I got this one time from playing my guitar and did not know it till after the fact like days later. It did last at least a year and I did not go see a doctor. Maybe it would have heeled sooner if I would have quit playing but I was hard headed about it. I did eventually give up on trying to play due to the pain. This might not be what you have at all, just passing on the info. Hope your arm gets better.  :)

 Thanks for the info, but the only thing that doesn't bother my arm is when I play guitar.
I did over work this arm a lot last summer doing landscaping.
I know its going to be one of those try this and that before it gets healed.
