P.S. I've come to the conclusion that it is OK to plan for your financial future. Yesterday I was thinking how we work for money now, rather than sit back, do nothing, and expect God to provide for us.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 - "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

We DO need to plan for our future, but that doesn't mean neglecting to help those in need when the opportunity arises.
