Been reading @ Bible-truths.com for several months now.. I think i'm about 80% complete (Ray sure does write a LOT :)

Like many of you, I had been regularly attending a church.. In fact, I had been at this particular church on/off for over 15 years, had a deep respect for the pastor, many ties to other members there, and God was actually teaching me things there, yet.. I sensed that some of the things that were being taught just weren't true.

After talking to the pastor about it, and him revealing his reluctance to even listen, I decided it was best for me to just leave. Not long after, I 'stumbled' across Bible-truths.com.. Now in hindsight, I realize it wasn't by 'chance' that it happened. So far there have been many things I've learned, or to put it more precisely.. things that I had already felt in my spirit were 'verified' as true.

I praise God for the wisdom he's given Ray, and that he has shared it with us. It 'feels' like we're coming to the end of an age, and God is about to reveal many truths that were hidden (to many more people than just us here) by pouring out His spirit.

Welcome to the forum Shawn. You will enjoy having like-minded people to chat with. I am surrounded by church going believers so I really need my time here with all of you. It is hard sitting so much with one's mouth closed but I believe it is what God wants for me at this time.

It was hard walking away from those we love and the years of church fellowship we'd come to know but we have been out now since early 08 and are not sad to be gone.

You are entering a new and exciting season!

I'm glad you have joined us and consider us family  :)
Church is where we all get our start, but if God wants to teach us more than the elementary He will call us out. It is good to have fellowship of like minded people and we can study, learn and grow together here. So jump in and join in the discussions, I see how different perspectives sometimes really helps in explaining things.
