After 1000 years,.....
« on: September 12, 2010, 08:53:15 AM »

If he who has the son has the father, and vise verse. One reveals one to the other, they are the same. Know you not, that the same spirit that dwells in Christ dwells in you. I believe that is referring to the father, we have been begotten by the father. That is if you have been baptized by or in the holy spirit. The spirit is making his home in you.So if you have been baptized into Christs death you have received Christ, you are now "in Christ" and are receiving the kingdom, God's dominion in your mind ( or life ). It is the fathers good pleasure to give you this kingdom, to make you think like Christ, and be obedient to the holy spirit, we are being made like him, other sons and daughters. In light of revelation, where it says Christ turns over the kingdom to the father after 1000 years, is that now happening to the elect? If you have been begotten by the father:has not the kingdom rule been passed to him right now?

Gallenwalsh,

The 1000 years is symbolic of the Day of the Lord, it is not complete in an individual until they are perfect, as our Father in heaven is perfect [Matt 5:48, Jam 1:4].

If you have been begotten by the father:has not the kingdom rule been passed to him right now?

Not yet:

1 Cor 1:21-22  Now He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts

2 Cor 5:5  Now He that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit

Eph 1:13-14  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Our redemption is complete in the 1st Resurrection, whether out of the grave or 'being changed' [1 Cor 15:51-51] at His Coming.

Hope this helps,

Marques

Hi gallenwalsh
Booker noted the following Scripture in the Thread
When does this happen?

2Pe 3:13  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Those God is preparing for His Kingdom reckon themselves dead as we are also to,

Rom 6:11  Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There are still sufferings of this "present time" that shall not be worthy to be compared with the glory which SHALL be revealed in us.

Rom 8:18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
