How Church destroyed my Faith, but Jesus found Me.
« on: September 20, 2010, 05:32:34 PM »

Hi Forum,

I just viewed a very emotionally moving short video on You-Tube depicting this Woman's faith being destroyed by Church and Her road to the belief in Universal Reconciliation. Some Scriptures, most of us are familiar with are highlighted, but the series of pictures in the video shows the contrast between what the Churches teach about the destiny of Most of God's Children compared with the Bible and Jesus viewpoint. Hope you appreciate this as much as I did.

                         Kind Regards, Samson.

This is pure EMOTIONALISM, so I give it a 1 out of 10.
Too kind to give it a zero.

How rude. This is an essay of somebody's personal story. Mine is very similar.

Thanks for posting this video. I'm thinking how to maybe use this clip to show to my wife who has not come to an acceptence of universal reconciliation yet. This can open doors to conversations with loved ones for many of us.

Loved this Samson! Saved it for Tobin to watch and may someday use this to "talk" to others about what I believe.
Thanks for sharing!  ;D

Come on, in some FUZZY way this depicts US ALL being called out of the 'church'.  I am not much into syrupy glurge.  Folks here stated their opinion just as I have stated mine.  Never said anything bad against anyone.  Interesting, the only opinions welcomed are the ones that agree!

P.S. If you study many of Christ's statements you will discover that many times His comments were not welcomed either, and no doubt considered rude by many.  One example out of many many, He called Peter, 'Satan'.  But I am much more gentler than He, I would never do that.  Probably not bad to be Christ like ... or maybe just in a FUZZY way.

Hey Fester,

This Video wasn't meant for Your rating system or evaluation either. The point of the Video was pictorial representations depicting the VAST contrast between where most of Mankind is supposed to end up according to Orthodox Christianity compared Jesus real plan For His Creation. True, it's rudimentary for us so-called "experts" here, but that kind of presentation can sometimes reach different people's Hearts and might be the CAUSE to their self-examination in being so self-righteous and thinking their better than others. By the way, Jesus was primarily Rude, Frank and Curt to the Self-Righteous two faced religious leaders, not to those beaten up by Governments, Religious Leaders and Rich Commerce. I suppose your reaction shouldn't be a surprise, it's consistent, based on past performances, whereas mine is uncharacteristic, at least Publicly speaking.

Yes, we all believed the lies and were once under the tight control of the church repressed with hell damnation!

We should let The Fruits of God's Spirit  be working in us, no???  ;D

Thanks Samson

I enjoy a bit of sarcasm every now and then. Then again, I don't get offended too much.

I know Fester is like our local 'grumpy smurf' :D

Here in 'Off Topics" is a place that we share what we think to be relevant to our lives and have a little fun with light hearted banter. It is a privilege to share this forum with others of like mind, but if we bring discord it can disrupt the harmony we have here.

There are those that are new here or only come here occasionally, we should take these into consideration when posting, so we should be careful not to bring negativism to the forum. We should be striving to be helpful and even if we have a difference of opinions, does that need to be shared, do you really think it will help someone who is reading here?

We can use example from Jesus, but we should take care to imitate His sarcasm or correction, as He was perfect it appling it. Even Paul and Ray are gifted in their use of correction and sarcasm. We most defiantly do not want to misuse our privilege to post and become a stumbling block to someone, just because we want to speak our mind.

Luke 17:1  And he said unto the disciples, `It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but woe to him through whom they come;
v. 2  it is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put round about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble.

mercy, peace and love

I thought it was beautiful too, and I thought its was beautiful how God uses the religious system in a divine way to open our eyes.

Thank you Brad & Thank you Fester,

It is good to be inspired and it is good to realize that not everyone will see as others see.

I pray that our minds may be open to God's spirit and that His spirit will gradually and certainly replace our human spirit. It is good to learn patience with our God and with one another.

Respectfully offered, Bob

Dear God, here i go.The message was good, but floating airy stuff i can do without and also the white Jesus. That's why I always overlook some ministers antics and go for the meat of the message. You can find Jesus everywhere if you look hard enough. In Fester we have a 'call a spade a spade' kind of guy and that type of person can be a very grounding element. Even the spirits have to be looked at with caution.

Thank you Kat for a most Spirit inspired reply.

When we put ourselves ahead of others in a way that signifies a lack of love on our part, we begin a backward step in the things we have learned through the Love of Our God and the deadly wound is soon healed. The beast then begins another upheaval at the cost of The Truth. As Gods Love grows in us,we should all be honored to serve others, leaving no room for beastly matters to get in the way of our humble growth. Gods Word does not condemn those in which He is working.I'll take humbleness any day, every day.

Peace...Mark

Hi,

Personally, I don't see how the "Get behind me Satan" addressed to the apostle Peter has any relevance or comparison to what's displayed on this Video. As Kat pointed out, a perfect Christ Jesus made the remark. It was during a critical situation, right before he was going to do His Father's Will by sacrificing His Life, an extreme situation about to unfold, to say the least. Perhaps Fester was right about one thing, this might have been better placed on The Testimonies Section, my mistake, but since it wasn't my testimony, initially I didn't see it that way. Admittedly, in my case, a nerve was struck at an undesirable moment, the rare occasion when I use sarcasm. Also, I don't see the relevance in  whether Jesus in this video was portrayed with Movie Star looks, White Skin or whatever, notwithstanding Isaiah Chapter 53, which I fully accept. Regardless of the fact that God CAUSES the Religious Leaders to do the horrible things to people, because He is responsible for everything doesn't negate the accountability of those performing these deeds. I read and listened to The Free Will Series several times, overly consumed in my study of these four parts upon joining this Forum. I'm not saying that I thoroughly know and have memorized every detail of this information, but I'm certain that We are accountable for acting out and thinking upon these desires and are therefore will receive correction.

In my Wildest Dreams, I never anticipated some responses that occurred as a result of this thread, expect the unexpected. By the way, I have read the article: The Jesus that people really Hate and have read Ray made use of sarcasm. I don't recall either Jesus or Ray using Sarcasm or being rude to those beaten up by this World as the person who portrayed herself through this Video.

Musicman: All comedy aside, that Nun in the Video is from the Movie, The Magdalena Sisters. I saw that Movie several times and it's based on the Magdalena Laundries, taking place in Ireland, a place none of us would have liked living at.

Well, lets resume Our Fun and Banter, Samson.
P.S. I guess I take all of this serious, what we learn here, especially since 99% plus of the Earths Population have no idea about these Truths and no desire to know them, at this time.

I love what you said Kat and I hope people will actually think about the wisdom there.
When someone posts something in off topics that they find heartfelt or funny and I disagree for whatever reason, who does it benefit for me to say something negative that might hurt their feelings or make them feel silly?
The truth is, you don't actually have to say everything that you think. What a concept!!  :-*
