new face
« on: May 08, 2011, 05:24:11 AM »

Hi everyone, I hav been reading this site for over a year, on and off, but only recently registered! When I first came across rays teaching I felt like a veil had been removed from my eyes, it was the first time the scriptures made any sense.

Just to give a bit of background, I am from Northern Ireland, I got saved (I know I know) 5 yeras ago, and done the usual, went to church, helped at sunday school etc but the whole time feeling more empty and far from God than I did before I became a christian.  There were so many things withI couldnt get my head round, all if which Ray has teached on.  I feel I am back at the beginning of the road and feel like a baby in Christ, the old way of just reading my bible no longer cuts it, but I really need to study every word, it seems so daunting, but I am truly thankful for everyone on this site and look.forward to fellowship with you all.

Hi Seekingthtruth,

I'm glad you have joined us  :)
I remember when I was fairly new to the truth and how I thought it was such a daunting task ahead, to unlearn all the old false teachings while learning this new truth. But I have been sticking in here and will say that this forum has been a major help in my progress. For those who desire this kind of contact it is a great blessing to have these like minded people to study with. Do partake in the discussions when you see something you can relate to. I'm with Jassy, I love Celt accents no matter which part of (Irish, Scots, Welsh). I have Celt roots but not sure if it's Scots or Irish. Welcome to the forum, I identify with some of what you said in your intro.

Welcome Seeker.....live in Michigan USA, born in Kentucky and I have lots of tree branches from Northern Ireland/Scotland (they kept jumping sides when wars and whatnot came) In Kentucky we all say we are Scots-Irish.

Ray sure knows how to knock our socks off (as they say here)!  I have been on for 6 years and can honestly say I am still learning and still trying to shake off "that ole time religion".

I remember it took a while for me to post but if the Lord prompts you please do. Or just to say Hi is OK too.

Again welcome!
