A little of my testimony

I do not have full knowledge of the truth yet, but I wouldn't even be seeking for truth if it wasn't for the scriptures below. I was totally deceived. I am still deceived, but I'm thankful that I know that. I can't sneak around the scriptures below and I use them to examine myself to see if I'm in the faith. Know the truth and the truth will set you free. If I'm not free I still need to know truth. Jesus is the truth so I still need to know him. I am thankful for bible-truths.com because it is causing me to ask more questions. I am very cautious and put everything before God before I believe it. I have many questions in front of him now and I'm waiting for answers. I am hoping these scriptures will open the eyes of others who are also deceived. The first thing that I learned was "Oh wretched man that I am". The first question was "How can I be saved?" Then I learned to rest and cease from striving. The work of salvation is God's work. He who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it. I walk from faith to faith to faith...as it is given to me. I don't know the mystery of who Jesus is yet. I don't know what the lake of fire is yet. I don't know what outer darkness is yet. I don't know many mysteries yet. I do know that I can ask God and he will show me. I know to always ask him to keep me from deception with a humble heart and he will keep me safe. Deceived people don't know they are deceived. That's what deception is. I remember praying and asking God to show me if I was deceived even though I thought there was no possible way that I was wrong. I was wrong. He opened my eyes and He healed emotional damage that was beyond repair. He did it for me and he is doing it for my children.  I've seen more miracles that I can count. It all started when I said I can't do it. I've tried everything. He can do it. His truth will set us free.

Hebrews 2:1-3
1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him


Matthew 23:25-28
25Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

1 John 3:1-6

Hello, MG.

Appreciate your testimony and good scripture quoted.  It is amazing once we start reading His word how different things become, from what we were taught in church.  I have nothing against churches, because I know many people, who live better lives than I do, yet still believe some of those false doctrines.

His word will set us free.  God bless.

MG good post!  I really want to get this in my head.....deceived people don't know they are deceived......we have to treat them w/ love.  Great scriptures to study.  Thanks.
