Hello Introduction and a few questions
« on: October 31, 2011, 06:08:06 PM »

Hello my name is Regina and I just joined!  I am very happy to have found not only the writings of L. Ray Smith but this group as well.  I have begun to read some posts on this site but have not nearly scratched the surface so please be patient with me if I ask a question that has already been addressed.  In light of what I am learning it seems that I have never correctly read my Bible and must start all over again.  I have wasted much time studying the wrong doctrines and theories and wish to study in truth.

I do have a few beginning questions that perhaps someone could send me information on:

Demons-I read what L. Ray Smith showed about Lucifer and also, if memory is correct, an email where someone asked about angels.  When I studied what was said I was shocked!  So I am just wondering about further information about how demons operate as I'm afraid I've been raised on a lot of mixed up theology.

Revelation Symbolism- I read what Smith has written on this so far and again was shocked at the simplicity of what it meant (the beast is you etc).  Is there any further information in line with this teaching that one could study?

I ask about these two topics especially because its really hard to unlearn what goes around in popular Christendom.  I am new to this view and as much as possible want to avoid research leads that will turn out to be foul.  Of course I am going to the Bible but taking the goggles off is not an instantaneous process.

Thank you so much.

Try Ray's latest paper 'Hell is a Christian Hoax' (http://bible-truths.com/23-minutes-in-hell.html) under the header 'Contradiction #50'.

Most of what Ray has wrote on the book of Revelation is found throughout his Lake of Fire series. Here is a thread on our FAQ board with a few items about Revelation: http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,11637.0.html.

Hope this helps and welcome to the forum,

I echo the welcome and glad you've joined us.  It took us all many years to learn false teachings and we're not going to shed them all in a few short months.  God has you where he wants you at this point in time and it sometimes takes awhile for us to really learn the truths that we are being shown.  It will all come in time.

Hi Regina and welcome to the forum. :)

I do not believe any of our past "indoctrination" into false teachings were a waste of time because I now know it was all a necessary part of our "spiritual" journey.  We had to go into "Babylon" in order to "come out of her."  I definitely have a much greater appreciation for God's truths after years of being blind and deceived. ;)

hi regina, and welcome to the forum. it is always a good thing to see new members come and join the discussions. the bible-truths website is so comprehensive and vast, with all the different subjects ray has studied and written to us about. his heart is seared in the Scriptures. you will come to learn so many, many truths that you will feel like your head is gonna explode.  :D  but, the crew here are pretty good at picking up the pieces for us if that happens.  ;D

anyway, i just want to say hello and that your statement i bolded above is one i had when i first came to this website. and i still find myself unlearning and relearning. it's a grand journey though.

Hey Regina,

Welcome to the forum. Glad you were led to the BT site and are learning the truth. Just keep reading. The answers to alot of the questions we have are scattered through out Ray's papers. We just have to pay attentions to the words.

Blessings,
Suzie

Welcome Regina:
Great questions. Clearly you want to make sure that you find truth. The Spirit has opened a lot to ray that continues to teach and nurture us. I especially love his teaching on 12 Truths to Understanding His Word. That rocks! It's a true foundation. So happy to have you join and look forward to hearing more from your perspective.

http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,7769.0.html -----------

Jesus was "WITHOUT sin" (Heb. 4:15).  Now then, did Jesus ever experience sickness or disease?

http://forums.bible-truths.com/index.php/topic,2862.0.html ---------------

Who makes people sick God or satan?

Yes, Satan causes disease, Luke 13:16, but only becuase it is in God's plan and purpose that there be disease in the first place.

in reading through kat's post reply to regina's questions, i came across some of ray's responses to the above noted questions.  that made me start wondering: so satan caused Jesus Christ's sickness/disease, but only because it was part of God the Father's plan and purpose for Jesus' life?

hope this makes sense.
