Some of us are used for noble and some are used for ignoble purposes,however If a promise exists re our well being,the promise is not a lie The word cannot lie. If I say to my son "hey, you can have a round trip fully paid for, to a destination of your choosing" and he takes me up on the offer I must have what I offered, otherwise i am a deceiver,fraud and a liar.Since God is non of these, that should spur our faith to believe what he said is true.

There is most [ALL] times a wrestling match first, as you stand unmoved by what you see, unmoved by what you hear, you become a usefull tool in the Fathers hand if you see your faith thru until you acquire what you asked for [you can now be a witness to what God has done]. Your adversary would come with his old trick, right from Eve's time [Did God say that ?]Or what about the doctor who diagnosed such and such - well what did God have to say ? and then based on what the king has decreed we take our direction.Like I said I am still doing a lot of faith exercise and have discovered what worked last time will not necessary work this time and the fire can get pretty hot - sometimes I fail and sometimes I get what I asked for, God tests one thing and that is our Faith and it is the only thing that pleases him.I have just been reminded while writing this that Jesus always said to his disciples
You take a stand against the flow of unbelief and you will see that you will get a lot of opposition,and what does God say ? Use MY WORD, FOR MY WORD IS SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGE SWORD,and It never returns without accomplishing that which it sets out to do - and it causes great damage to the plans and the "ego" of carnality.

BTW and i stand to be corrected,did you notice Jesus reprimanded the disciples often "You of Little Faith" "have Faith", 'where is your faith" etc

I cannot find a scripture where Jesus admonished the folk that were not his chosen, but only find lines like "great is your faith,"I have never come across such great faith""your faith has made you well"
interesting...

What a great testimony, if, after all the reports of L Ray's condition we all declare Gods word over his present trial and not the doc's word, I can imagine the absolute joy in his family when Gods word returns accomplished, can you? ["That your joy may be full or complete"]

 this is how I read my word and is not necessary the way others do

We ALL come with our "baggage" but I must say that you have much to bear!  Just "come as you are" --you will feel right at home with us miscreants of established religion.
You will learn lots when you follow through with Kat's suggested readings and that will quickly get you on the "same page" with the rest of us --as we STILL learn as eagerly as newcomers. 
We pray for Ray that he will be with us eonian.
