I thought I'd say hello. I came across Ray's site a few months ago and have been devouring it since. Very interesting stuff. There are answers here to questions I have asked all my life. I'm still a little lost on some things but I'm getting there. Would be good to get to know some people here who can help encourage me as I am daily bombarded with "Christian" family and friends who tell me that asking the sort of questions I ask will land me in the very place (hell) I am losing belief in.

Thank you for the amazingly prompt welcome.   There is much here for me to still read and it will take some time yet to get through it all and then re-read but I do look forward to the rest of the journey. I have already been able to make logical sense of so much that (perhaps strangely) I already on a spiritual level believed only could never articulate why with any concrete scriptural backup. Reading through so far I am bursting with a few elaborative questions but am conscious that these may be answered with further reading and do not want to waste any forum member's time as of yet. I do however look forward to potentially discussing much of the material with those here and learning from you all.

Welcome DJ ( you are not married to a Cathy are you??)  Trust me---you are at a safe haven....Ray speaks the truth w/ a kabillion scripture references 

For the first few months I checked everything he said w/ several versions of the bible- slow going I can tell you --but rewarding in that what my heart had been telling me in all those years was truth....

God loves us and we will ALL be w/ him forever someday.

Well I've officially never been welcomed to a forum by so many people in my life. Feeling very at home already and believe me that's not something I feel very often. Like coming in from a storm outside. Thank you. And nope, never been married gmik.

Certaintyseeker, you are certainly seeking in the right spot!  You will find many gems to digest,, almost too many, too fast!  But you will enjoy the feast and encouragement you will get here.  You will need it BECAUSE the more you learn the FARTHER AWAY from basic fundmentalism you will get and the further you get --your  "friends" will drop you one at a time until you will be glad for the support you get here from us B-T'ers.  After you have studied the principles for quite a while and have your feet firm in what you believe, you cn check out "friends of Ray" on facebook--there are about 160 of us and it is to know each other better and lighter chatter than on the forum.  But be sure to ask your questions on THE FORUM as the moderators and participants will help you over the humps.

Thank you Kat for all of the links. I definitely have much to go on with and I'm sure it will take some time to go through but I very much look forward to the experience. It was very encouraging to also receive a detailed e-mail back from Mr. Smith himself this morning answering in more then satisfactory detail some nagging questions and helping me see some specific scriptures with new eyes in ways I have never looked at them before.

I have never been interested in any less then the pure, unadulterated truth of God's word and unfortunately by nature this seems to put one at odds with mainstream Christianity. At a time where I have never felt more alone I don't think it's any accident I wound up here.
