Do you think YOU could survive that week of pleasure with the Godly, Christian, 85 year old woman who is worth at least $10 million? :-X
She might make you want to revisit your very high standards for a wife??!!

Cypress:
I might be going off topic here, but with all these verses regarding one man, one woman, why did some of the historic figures have multiple wives? I haven't really done any research on this I'll admit, but it just popped in my head.

Because of the hardness of their hearts they had multiple wives, but from the beginning God made one husband, one wife.

None of the Old Testament people will be in the 1st Resurrection.  They will come up in a resurrection to judgment where they will need to repent from their sins.

I would rather keep to "Deut 29:29 The Lord our God keeps certain things hidden. But he makes other things known to us and our children" with regard to "none...".
We know we are saved by grace through faith...
I liked this thread and its wonderful comments.

God said in Genesis: "Be fruitful and multiply".  You can do this much faster with multiple wives.  I don't know when the command was rescinded as the earth did get well populated.
It wasn't until the New Testament (I believe) that one wife was commanded.
:-)   In the Old Testament life was rather SIMPLE so to add some ACTION, besides warring, "multiple wives meant multiple problems" so too today!  See Sarah and hand- maid (Abraham "stepped into" that one!!
