Why?
nightmare sasuke:
Why are these slain souls given white robes?
"And there was given to them, each one, a white robe, and it was bidden them, that they should rest yet a little while—until the number should be made full of their fellow-servants also, and their brethren, who were about to be slain as even, they" (Rev 6:11, Rotherham).
jerry:
could it be a white burial robe?

No idea.
The use of "psuche" seems to denote blood. The whole thing seems to relate with Abel's blood crying out to God. However, was Abel's blood clothed with a white robe?

Layla:
Hi NS - I have a couple of thoughts.
Rev. 19:8
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Jesus Christ is our righteousness. Therefore, those arrayed in fine linen (white robes) are clothed in Jesus Christ.
I'm thinking "slain souls" has to do with those who have experienced the "second death." The death of the carnal mind which is "soulish."
So perhaps those who have their soulish nature slain, are granted the gift of being fully clothed in Jesus Christ......Hope these thoughts help.
Peace,
Layla
