Question on Phil 2:9-11
« on: March 09, 2012, 12:02:26 PM »

Just a little help to understand the quote from above verses.  My husband just asked me a question about it, "under the earth" "subterranean"  every knee shall bow down, who is in there under? I  just want my mind to be cleared on this, as well my husband.... Thanks a lot.  :)

Philippians 2:9-11 (New International Version)
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

but here in concordant it says:

Philippians 2:9-11 " 9 Wherefore, also, God highly exalts Him, and graces Him with the name that is above every name,
10 that in the name of Jesus every knee should be bowing, celestial and terrestrial and subterranean,
11 and every tongue should be acclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord, for the glory of God, the Father."
