I stood on the sand of the sea
jerry:
I beleave that revelations is a book for us now in each generation to teach righteousness,Im just not sure if none of it is about furture events,I cant read the last chapter of revelations without thinking its speeking of a future event, is it the only chapter that is a future event and the others arnt? Im keeping an open mind as far as that mysterious book is concerned..........Jerry
Layla:
Hi Jerry
I did not mean to imply that because I now see the importance of the Book of Revelation to me individually that the Book is not about future events. Clearly it is. Jesus tells John to write the things that are to happen "hereafter." I do not believe, however, that these events are a one time unfolding at the end of the age. I believe these events are from the time of John to the end of the age.
;) Just wanted to clarify!
Peace,
Layla

Layla-
The thought occurred to me the other night that maybe...just maybe....the Revelation of Jesus Christ occurs in the physical realm (future literal events) to the unbelievers because, how else would they "see" Him....and in addition it also occurs in the lives of believers in a spiritual way....He is unveiled none the less....to all so that all can be saved?

This is an interesting thought. I was thinking about what Paul said.
Rom 1:18-20
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Good verse, Layla! I see what you are saying!
I'm just wondering how you feel about this:
Thomas seemed to need the physical manifestation so that he would "doubt" no longer...
and Jesus ( I believe, trying to help Thomas along) asked him to put his hands in His wounds to be able to believe.... those who would believe without "seeing" the physical manifestation are clearly commended and called "more blessed" by Jesus...still....
I am thinking that, perhaps, these potential literal end-time events, could indeed be in place to help those whom God is calling? What do you think?
joyful1 ???
