The Straight Story

Gina:
A true story about a man, Alvin Straight, who decides to visit his estranged brother who has become ill. Not one for convention, Alvin decides to make the 260 mile trip on his John Deere lawnmower. He meets several people along his journey. In this scene he encounters a pregnant teenage girl who has run away from home. While exchanging stories, Alvin teaches her the true meaning of family.

This came highly recommended by an attorney I worked for about eight years ago.  Not an "edge-of-your-seat" movie but well worth every minute.

KLUNKET commented 7 months ago:   This was an amazing movie. I see why Farnsworth decided to do the film even though he was in overwhelming constant pain from bone cancer. Powerful movie, with a powerful actor!
