i did but the thing is though the rapture means that Jesus comes back 3 times that alone makes it fake, however the thing that bothers me is that how people cling on to this idea

That's not a problem.  It's an opportunity for growth.

If I were in your shoes, I'd concentrate on this verse:

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Pet. 5:7)

I would pray that God would open their eyes to the truth.

And I would stay away from books like that.

And look on the bright side.  You could always continue studying and then you'll be prepared in the event anyone asked you a question on the subject!   You would be ready to give a reason for the hope that lies in you! That's fantastic.    That's something to rejoice in!
