<----New guy Introduction :)
« on: September 07, 2012, 06:16:46 PM »

Hello everyone!

I live in Tennessee, I'm 35 years old.

Testimony: When I was 18, I was into New Age and Wicca and all about developing your psychic powers. The whole time Jesus was calling me to Him. Basically, Christ put in a desire in me to know Truth. I was trying to look for truth in all kinds of religions, ghosts, aliens, etc. It wasn't until I got ahold of a Bible and began to read, that reality began to sink in. Christ showed me that all this other stuff I was into was fake and lies, but that He was the Truth!

I was on fire! I joined a local non-denominational christian church, pulled a bunch of baby stuff like preaching to anyone I ever passed by, all excited about the Truth. In all my times of talking about Jesus to people, I remember one instance where a person said "If God loves us soooo much, why does he put people in Hell?"  Of course, being a noob christian, I didn't have an answer to that, until a leader from the church said "God doesn't put people in Hell, people do."  Well, to my young spirit and mind that put responsibility off God and seemed to make sense (but of course was totally wrong, and I parroted the idea). Fast forward in to present time....

six months ago, the Lord brought me back to the question of "why Hell"?  Hell kept cropping up, and I couldn't explain it, it didn't fit His character and so many other loving things he's shown me in the last 17 years. And again, he put in me a desire to know truth. I have been listening to a devoted Grace preacher a lot the last few years, and Hell does not match up with Grace, not one bit.  I tried internet studies and book studies on Hell, I kept running into a brick wall. I began to look up the actual greek and hebrew words for "Hell" and started to run searches that way. Finally, articles and websites started to actually make sense. tentmaker.org led me to bible-truths.com and THANK YOU JESUS FOR TRUTH!!!!!

I feel like a giddy teenager falling in love with Christ all over again. This is the peace, this is the Truth. THIS IS GRACE!!!!!

I appreciate all of you guys so much, I'm going through part C of "free will" articles at the moment and have read most all the articles by Ray before that (I think the free will series is the only part I have not finished). It's just so good. I look forward to asking questions and going deeper into the Word with you guys!

Glad to have you here and a very warm welcome.  We all definitely come from every experience and religious tradition on this forum that is for sure.  All of us have spent our entire lives searching for truth [whether we know it or not] and something deep within us resonates when we read these truths here and the holy spirit enlightens our spirit.  It is definitely God's work and he quickens whom he will for his own purpose in his own time.  All glory and honor be to him.

Welcome se7en, I'm new here too. Everyone here is truly great loving people. i hope your experience here will be enlightening and rewarding. God has so much in store for us that it is overwhelming to say the least. May experience was about the same as yours, but I never got into Wicca, but I have talked to people who were into that faith. Believe me these Brothers and Sisters will help lead you in the right direction. Good to see a new face/hand writting on the forum.

Welcome to BT my friend nice to "meet" you. As another noobie here on the forum there are many answers here you will find not always to your liking (sometimes the truth hurts) but always keeping your mind in tune with truth. May God bless your experience here.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I'm going to finish up the "free will" series and dive into the FAQ, then start asking some questions :)

Hi Se7en,

Isn't "God's will" wonderful to have in our lives?
I got started around age 35 myself, so I may understand how you feel.
Welcome and keep on keeping on. Indianabob

Hi Se7en,

I'm glad you have joined us  :)
I can relate to your search for truth and looking for it in all the wrong places at first. Having all that "experience in evil" (Ecc 1:13 (CLV), was worth it as when I found this truth that made it all the more sweeter. Here are links to the different boards that you can look into when you so desire.

Hi Se7en
I enjoyed your testimony. I know what it's like to parrot Ideas. When I was in the
Baptist Church I would parrot all kinds of  sayings. I don't know why
because a lot of it didn't even make sense.

Welcome Se7en......I too could not answer that same question LOL and it bothered me until my eyes and ears and dead spirit were awakened.....I spent 15+ years wrestling with my own salvation and knowing I deserved the fire......and still do! (its true) but thanx be to our God for his perfect will and plan....which I now know what a Spiritual fire does.....and what a real fire does.....only when I saw with my non flesh eyes and mind could this truth be real to me.....
