God's kingdom vs paradise...

It has been my understanding that the terms: God's kingdom and paradise (of God) are synonymous. Though I can't seem to find it again, it seems I recently read somewhere on the site (whether it was explicitly stated, or just seemed to be implied, I don't recall) that this is not the case. Could someone clear this up for me? Thanks in advance.
