[Nathan]

Hello everyone. My name is Nate and I came across BT about 4 months ago while doing research on an article I was writing on the Trinity doctrine. I've been reading all of Ray's articles, emails, listening to the audios and reading the forum threads. All I can say is, "WOW"! I can't tell you how many times I have laughed out loud with joy as many of the unanswered questions I've had over the years are now being answered. I came from, I guess what you would call, a "stepping stone" ministry. Meaning, it was half way between orthodox Christianity (which I grew up in) and what is being taught here (the truth). It, also, was an online ministry with a forum and occasional Skype meetings where disenfranchised Christians would congregate (virtually speaking).

There was a concerted effort in the ministry I was apart of, to stop looking at our Father as some sort of pagan god who wishes to torture most of humanity for all eternity, however Annihilism was taught as opposed to Universalism. At the time, it sounded good to me, especially after a lifetime of believing the orthodox view of hell - God will judge those in hell according to their works and each man will be punished accordingly and then annihilated in the lake of fire (sounded good at the time ). I was involved with this ministry for 5 years and this teaching was a relief to me and I felt a slight burden lifted from me, knowing that God was a righteous judge. I, and most in the ministry, didn't believe in the "pre-trib rapture" or the "trinity" doctrine and a couple other similar beliefs which are taught at BT, however things started to take a turn for me when I began asking questions that could not be answered to my satisfaction.

After a week of reading the articles on "hell", the "lake of fire", "free will", the "Lucifer Hoax", etc., most of my questions were answered - even ones I hadn't really considered. As I stated earlier, I would literally laugh out loud with joy as truth after truth was being revealed. Needless to say, these new found truths didn't go over well with the leadership of this ministry and since we did weekly internet radio broadcasts together, it was just a matter of time before we started butting heads so to speak. Long story short, I am no longer apart of that ministry. I had been feeling unfulfilled for a while, but felt there was nothing else out there. Now I realize that our Father had saved the best for last.

I knew God wasn't this terrorist that orthodox Christianity teaches, however I didn't realize, until reading the "free will" series, that what I actually believed was that God was impotent and unable to accomplish His will due to our "free will" that opposed His will . Now I realize that His will will be done and that He is truly in control of everything. A great burden has been lifted from me. I now sing a new song.

I look forward to fellowship with like-minded believers.

Nate

Hi Nate,

Welcome to the forum
It is a great sense of relief to hear the truth and actually believe it. Once coming to the truth it's hard to believe anybody can believe the evil doctrines put forth by the church... yet we were all once there. I guess it's an experience we need to go through to truly understand it and we all partake of the evil fruit as well as the good.

To have this forum to discuss these truths is a real blessing, as hearing others perspectives is a great help in gaining understanding. Join in the discussions or ask your own questions, it will be good to hear a new voice.

Hi Nathan and welcome to the forum.

I rejoice with you as you come to understand that we have no free will! It is a difficult truth for most people to understand or accept, but by God's grace your "eyes" can be opened and your "heart" will believe.

aah yes I related so well to the laughing out loud as I learned the truth and it was clear and more then reasonable to me as my spirit convinced me as did the Spirit that my eyes began to open. The relief and harmony of the scriptures came alive! Welcome brother Nathan to our humble fellowship here on the forum

Hi Nathan

It shines, what you wrote ".....there was nothing else out there....."

Jesus said, When I come again, what faith shall I find, meaning NO FAITH OUT THERE!

Christ emerges from within!

Glad you are seeing The Light Of Christ being made comprehensible to You! Many read these Truths, and have not yet seen or heard. Not yet.

It feels so at peace and happy to know this is true. It's beautiful, beautiful!  So glad that you are here enjoying Truth with us!

Hi Nate - greetings
Glad you are here too
It took a awhile to break free of the hell teachings from orthodoxy and surrender to the no free will zone - but it does bring such peace and clarity to know Our Creator is in control

[Wonone]

Blessings Nathan!
Your 'laughter' spoke to me too.
Praise the Lord, there is more coming your way!

Welcome Nathan

It was nice to hear your story.

Nathan, I have come to see the free will thing, to be understood on different levels;

first level. When we claim it, and a lot of our actions support it.

second level. when we are not sure, some of out actions support it and some doesn't.

third level. when we know and deny that we have no free will, but even so, we still deal with less actions that support free will. (like for example certain arrogant actions, selfish plan making etc.)

four level. Is the same as the third level, but with the exception that we try to put more attention when dealing with this difficult idol of the heart. It's better to go to the first resurrection with out hands or legs, you know...  what a life time battle.

Welcome Nate, your story reverberates in every one of us.

Before BT, I thought I didn't understand everything there was to know about hell, but I was willing to accept it as long as God's Word dictated it.  Ray's inspired teaching showed me that what has been taught for centuries by orthodox and mainline Christianity is far from the truth.

Come join us on this pilgrimage of sorts.  It's lonely, but fulfilling.

[Deborah-Leigh]

The loneliness endures for a moment it seems, once past!
