Beautiful! This music reminds me of the vastness and absolute sovereignty of God! And when Jon starts to sing, it's in icelandic so I can sing any verse to go along with it :) I'm so thankful the Lord created these gentlemen to do what they do.

Such wisdom, John Chris! Truly.
Now I can REST and enjoy the music, God has allowed man to create for our, albeit, soulish pleasure. After all He made us living souls not spirits! :) :)
I remember, growing up, never listening to the lyrics of the song. We'd just bee bop along to the catchy tune, however vulgar the words. Now my teen daughter is more discerning, having been raised on the Word. She doesn't listen to Christian music anymore, but good wholesome music. For this I am eternally (sic) grateful.
Talking about Christian music, I recall meeting a church worship leader who told me that in heaven there will be no more praying, works etc, just worship. So we must practice it here! I believed him at the time...

You mean where not going to be bouncing up and down and spinning around speaking in tongues while listening to Kenneth Copeland - I am disappointed.........what else is there to look forward to. Actually is that heaven or hell I get the two confused sometimes.

Ray once mentioned a verse about the Angels singing... and he asked; Who do you think taught these angels to sing? God.
Music is a beautiful thing and I am in agreement with the lot of us here that music can be very beneficial to our souls..
In fact... now I wonder... do these songs that reach to the depths of our souls resonate within us because they converge on that boundary between what we can and cannot know? Do these songs in some way, parallel the groaning of the spirit within us? That spirit yearning and reaching out to our Father.
Romans 8:22-23
For we know that the WHOLE CREATION GRONETH AND TRAVAILS IN PAIN together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves GROAN WITHIN OURSELVES, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the SPIRIT itself maketh intercession for us WITH GROANINGS which cannot be uttered.
Sometimes when I hear these songs, I can feel a real pulling or tugging at my soul... as if something familiar, warm.. but I cannot put it into words. Maybe it is because it resembles in some way, maybe not even in a big way but in some way, the spirit within groaning out for the Father.
That's just my random thoughts and I have no scripture to back it up.. just thought it was interesting because often times the music does sound like some deep yearning or groan outwardly towards something, someone... something greater.
