happy birthday to one of the best sermon givers on the forum!  you have been a voice of (sound) reason so many times.  and a darn good referee too.  i hope your day was a nice one, with love and laughter and cake.   8)

Thanks, all.  I reckon today will mostly pass quietly.  I'm going twice a day to feed my sister's critters while she's out of town.  We'll go out to eat tomorrow, but we do that most sundays anyway.  Both my sisters came down this past weekend for a belated birthday for my mother.  I got a little pre-birthday too, I guess...we ate well, at any rate...some of the best fish I've had since I was overseas.

I think the other mods would agree that we are all enjoying a good peace on the forum lately.  I'm blessed to see continued growth in longer-time members and a very welcome influx of wonderful new brothers and sisters to fellowship with over this internet thingamajig.

Anyway, thanks for the warmth and well-wishes.
Heb 10:32  But you must continue to remember those earlier days, how after you were enlightened you endured a hard and painful struggle.

you are one of a kind dave.  you even take care of the 4 legged critters.  we are blessed to have you as a mod, and even more blessed to have you as a brother in Christ.  have a sweet family fellowship tomorrow.
