Can one Know ?
rick:
Hi Rhys
I believe if God is not calling someone then that one would not have any interest in God or the things of God or perhaps not even think of God at all.
Im excited about the truths I’ve learned about God through Rays teaching and find myself the whole day through thinking about God and His plan for His creation and what He’s doing in my life.
I know no matter what all will come to a full knowledge of God in this life or the next life or after the resurrection , I know Ray said that more people will be saved after death than before death.
I just like everyone on B.T. have come from the religious background where truth was distorted. The last church place I had attended I was personally ask by the minister if I had ask Jesus in my life and he went on to say to me if I have not I would go to hell when I die and he also told me God does not sent people to hell but we send our self there by rejecting Christ and of course I had to ask Jesus in my life before I died or for me it would be to late.
I can’t express the joy I had after reading The lake of fire series and discovering the truth opposed to the lie I had received from Christendom. The 2nd lie I discovered was not having free will or choice which was indeed taught by the church, you know ( its up to me to choose Christ ) that was another lie. These two truths alone has change my life in many ways.
I have no doubt so much to learn but either way because of Gods workings through Ray I have a great respect and love for our God and yet its only because of God I feel as I do.
I can honestly say with my whole heart God is good and I also believe I did not find this site by accident but I believe God arrange it by appointment at the appointed time. I know inwardly I need to not read but need to keep studying the lake of fire series as I still have many false beliefs in me from Christendom which are being dispelled from my understanding that God is giving me through this site B.T.
Im certain you as well as many other can relate to what im going through and I know we are all at different levels of understanding me being at the bottom. Im not always sure if some questions I ask are appropriate to ask but then I say all is of God but not by God.
I do find your responses and others very helpful which Im am most thankful for. One thing I can say is that in the conclusion of all things is that everything is going to be awesome for everyone and not just some as Christendom has lead me to believe and I should say also that I always believe I was going to hell but I have the truth about that sort of thing and no one can take that from me.

Hi Rhys,
I would say that what you feel is certainly a "hope."
Lam 3:26. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
Well I think we should feel a certain degree of determination, not that we can determine our fate, but it's what the Spirit indwelling puts in you. Also the Spirit would keep you humble, as a prideful boosting attitude would not be something of the Spirit.
The Spirit leads you to strive and search out the truth, I think with a certain amount of struggle involved. The narrow way is not the easy way and many people hear the truth, but after a little adversity they fade away and turn back into the world. I think that is what the parable of the Sower and the seed.
Luke 8:5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.
V. 6 Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture.
V. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it.
V. 8 But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
There are many more that hear the truth and believe it than who are actually chosen elect. I think we can have a sincere hope for ourself, but we can not know about someone else. So you sure want to feel that hope, if not absolute assurance, I would say that is a very good sign.
Mercy, peace and love

Thanks Kat that helps a lot about the hope one has
Pro 23:18 Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
2Co 3:12 Since we have such a hope, we are very bold,
As He leads we follow and we are secure in Him for whatever He has
