hi forum family.  there has been a change in the medical diagnosis initially given to our john chris.  he spoke to me today and discussed letting the forum family know of the change.  he said i could come here to update you on his condition, and that he will post soon regarding the matter.  the initial diagnosis given to him was ALS / Lou Gehrig disease.  a very daunting disease.

per his specialist, after a lengthy clinical examination/testing, john chris does not have ALS.  he has PMA which stands for Progressive Muscular Atrophy.  it is still in the motor neuron disease spectrum (as is ALS), but the prognosis is better, although still serious.

please continue to pray for our dear brother.  whether you post prayers here, or pray in private.

"the prayer of the righteous have a powerful effect."  prayer is a gift of God.   :)

That's better news.  I just read somewhere recently that many people are being diagnosed with ALS when actually it is that other disease, which is not as bad.

Rock on JohnChris.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Forum family. :)
I deeply appreciate your thoughts, prayers, encouragement, PM's and all your expressions of caring.
They keep me going as I continue to cast all my cares on God.
He has certainly gotten my attention and dragged me back to Him and His Living Word.
A fiery trial indeed, but I trust in the Lord for the outcome.
Love you guys :-*

Dear JohnChris,

2 Cor. 12:10  Therefore I take pleasure in infirmitiies, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for christ's sake.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Cor. 4:17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal glory

God is with you though it may hurt now.  Keep on in Christ, love ya bro.
