Alex, University Of North Caroline in Chapel Hill from what I hear is one of the best medical schools. I know they have some of the best Doctors there, you might want to apply there. I hope this helps you.

                       Love you Brother,

Thank you Virginia. I went ahead and spent the past 8 hours sifting through medical school information etc.. trying to target the schools I have a good chance at getting into with a few dream schools on the list added just in case! Here is the list:

Albany Medical College

Baylor College of Medicine

Central Michigan University College of Medicine

Cooper Medical School of Rowan University

David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA

Drexel University College of Medicine

Keck Sch. of Med.University of Southern California

Loma Linda University School of Medicine

Medical College of Wisconsin

Michigan State University

Quinnipiac University SOM

Temple University School of Medicine

The Commonwealth Medical College

The University of Toledo College of Medicine

The University of Vermont College of Medicine

Tulane University School of Medicine

University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix

University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson

University of Arkansas College of Medicine

University of California San Diego

University of California, Davis School of Medicine

University of California, Irvine- College/Medicine

University of California-Riverside School of Medicine

University of Illinois at Chicago-College of Medic

University of Louisville School of Medicine

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine

This first application step was extremely expensive! 26 Schools so far that I sent out applications to. I may add a few more for the Allopathic Program (M.D.) if I come across a school that is too good to pass up as far as my competitivness is concerned.

Tomorrow I will be tacking the DO schools... a whole nother round of school sifting and application processing to get done with. I think I will rest for now.

God willing one or a few of these schools give me an interview and like what they see! I'm going to be doing some traveling across the country if I do get some interviews from any of these schools outside the california ones. I applied to almost all schools in my state... unfortunately my state is one of the most competitive which makes being a california resident, who is in the middle competitiveness wise, tough!

Please pray for me!!

God bless everyone!

Alex

Sorry, getting a little carried away since the World Cup is ongoing. . . 8)

I'm rooting for UIC or Medical College of Wisconsin...then we can socialize!

As always, may God's will be done.

Well Alex, this is the only school on your list that is  remotely close to where I live.  If you get in, I'll make every effort to meet up with you. :)

John from Kentucky:
Alex,

Looks like only one good medical school on your list.   8)

My advice, skip the D.O. schools.  Your grade on the MCAT is good for an M.D.  There is a shortage of good doctors.  Won't some states pay your way in school if you work in that state a certain number of years after graduation?

The Spirit will be with you and direct your path.
