Prayer for my son Jamie who is in jail.
« on: January 21, 2014, 12:01:28 PM »

Hi My family, I'm asking prayer for Jamie only because he is reading the Bible. I talked to him last night and he says that he believes that we should keep the old testament laws, which is what we taught him when we started to read the bible.
I told him if he had a serious heart, then ask God to show him the way. I said that the Holy Spirit is our teacher, that man can say what he believes, but it is the Holy Spirit that gives the understanding of the Scriptures.
He is listening to a pastor there at the jail and arguing with him about what the bible says, which is what we learned from my husband which keeps the OT laws, or tries to.
I don't know if God is drawing Jamie or not, but I would love for you all to pray for God's will to be done in this and all things.

Love to you all my brothers and sisters,
                                Virginia Miller

Virgina

God's Will is always done. To recognise that, is great Peace and Blessing.

"Not my will be done, but Thy Will" shows the express recognition that it is done anyway, yet with the grace to agree, THAT is the Blessing.

I'll do my best to keep him in my prayers. The Lord's will be done.

Virginia, I think we know how that 'ends'.  Don't discourage him, I'd say.  He has to learn it in his own way.  Just an opinion you didn't ask for.   :)

Hi my Family, I have wonderful news concerning my son Jamie.
Jamie has been sent to a Federal camp in Butner N.C. 2 1/2 miles from home.
My heart sings for Joy this day. I talked to Jamie on the phone yesterday and he said mama you don't have to worry about me in here I will be fine. there are no bars and no fence where he is at. It will be like home away from home for him. His girlfriend and children are closer to him than I am, which is very important to me  because his children need to see him a lot and he needs to see them.
My heart is so filled with Love and thankfulness for my Lord and Saviour, because I know without Him this would never be.
I want you all to know that I love all of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers and encouragement you gave me through all this.
I know it is not over yet with my older son Steven, he goes before the Judge Feb. 19th to be sentenced, but we know the same God is working for Steven that worked for Jamie.
Keep us in your prayers. May Gods will be done.

Hi Virginia,

What comes across in all your posts, especially this last one, is an outpouring of love from your heart.  And God is love.  All is of God and He will make all things beautiful in the end. :)

Ecclesiastes 3:11 Young's Literal Translation

The whole He hath made beautiful in its season; also, that knowledge He hath put in their heart without which man findeth not out the work that God hath done from the beginning even unto the end.

Hi my Family, due to my excitement about my son I made a mistake about the distance of where he is at. It is 2 1/2 hours from home, not 2 1/2 miles from home.
I am just so happy about the outcome that I overlooked the error. Sorry.

               Love you all,
                 Virginia Miller

P.S. Thank you all for rejoicing with me.

I see God in you, Virginia!  It's your love.  Glad to hear of the sentence Jamie received.  Keep on walking step by step, in the moment with him.  Steven and your family is in my prayers.

Still 2.5 hours is much more manageable to drivable in one day! :)
