I am Shelley
I found this site in 2009. All because of that nasty 4 letter word "hell' In 2008 we lost our dear MIL to cancer. In 2009 I lost my brother to a failed liver transplant and my sister was diagnosed with brain cancer. In 2011 my sister died and in 2013 I lost my BIL and a friend to cancers. My point being that the Lord used these losses to bring me to his truths. He alone is sovereign over ALL. I now understand and I am so thankful. After all the tears and all the confessing and believing that they would all live I have learned otherwise. I hope to gain new friendships and fellowship with all of you to learn. My questions may be silly at times but I would rather ask and learn then not. Thanks everyone!!!

I'm glad you have joined us

I'm sorry to hear of all those you have lost. But you seem to have a very good attitude, which is always good and helpful to have. I hope you can find this place a respite from the world and the struggles of it. I find that these discussions here are very helpful to spiritual growth, and there are plenty of people with different perspectives to answer. So join in when you see a topic of interest or ask your own questions. Never feel you can't ask a question regardless of how basic it may be, it's always helpful as a refresher and there may those who do not post that would like to hear the answer as well.

Makes me so sad to hear about so much loss in your life.

God has a way to bring us each to truth and believe me we all know how to comfort and hurt with you as He has allowed some deep tragedies and traumas in each of our lives. Amen... He is sovereign and it's worth it all to know His amazing truths!

Hi Craig! Thank you for letting me know this. Makes me feel unafraid to ask now. I am reading Ray's articles daily and I especially love "Twelve God-Given Truths To Understand His Word" It has made such a deep impact upon me and I have just wept so many times seeing these truths for the very first time ever!! Nano Hi Nano! Thank you my new friend. It sounds like you also have suffered loss? What did God do in this for you? ITA that pain leads us to God and his truths. In hindsight I would not want it any other way. I am very thankful for his mercy & grace. Enjoy your day!
