Hi everyone,
I've thought about how I am going to introduce myself and I've decided to JUST DO IT!
A brief history about myself. I grew up in a Catholic family and I feel like that I have gone to Sunday Mass ever since I was born (physically). I will never forget the sound of our Parish Priest's voice during my infant years. He had a very low, deep and authoritative voice that I would not hesitate in saying sounded like the typical voice of God. He has now died and the main room in our Church building is named after him.
I've come along way since then (now 23); six years ago, I regularly watched this program called 'The Way of the Master' (I'll bet some of you have heard it) and it got me thinking -or rather worrying about evangelising to such an extent that I thought that if I do not start evangelising right then, I was clearly ashamed of the gospel and thus, I would be heading for hell. It was during this struggle that I noticed that my brother was often browsing this website. I could not help but notice this website as being quite unusual due to its REALLY long articles, its overemphasis and its very blunt and calling a spade a spade type of language. I found it endearing quite frankly. Eventually, I asked my brother about it and I began to read it and start processing the information. I also sensed that this guy was deeply passionate about what he was saying and that he used a lot of scriptural evidence to back up his points; in fact, I was in sixth form at school at the time and he largely followed the same kind of format that we were taught in school for making arguments: that is PEP (point, evidence, explanation). I sent Ray an email a few years later thanking him for his work (didn't reply but that's not the point).
Six years now and I have finally decided to do the inevitable and join the forum in order to really LIVE and grow in Christ. I actually feel that this very step (of joining the forum) is God calling me to walk now on a higher plane and to live deeper in the spirit: whilst I may not see you guys (in this age anyway), it does seem evident that Paul, in his letters, developed a lively fellowship with the rest of the Church.
That is all for now and I eagerly await what this new step has in store for the future.
See you guys around (spiritually),
Sean
