Nice to see there are a few UK members!

I found this site via a post on Tentmaker, where I am a member with the same username. I came to UR by a study with a friend from church, and it has made me realise how ignorant I am about truth in the scriptures. The understanding Ray has despite his lack of "formal education" in theology or ancient languages is astounding and inspiring, and now I cannot wait to get home from work each day to study scripture, plus I listen to his videos in the car! This surely is how it's supposed to be; desperately thirsty for revelation and wisdom, compared to the dryness I experienced with scripture at times before.

So many jaw-dropping revelations: that scripture is supposed to be difficult to understand, that there is more hope for non-believers than orthodoxy gives but more challenges for Christians too, that there is a simple way to at least get to grips with most of the parables, that the feasts of the Hebrews perfectly foreshadow God's plan for the world and so on. I've honestly learnt more about the Bible in the last month than I have in the last five years.

I'm glad you have joined us  :)
It's a really humbling experience when we realize we were so blind, right along with the rest of the church, for so long. But it's such a breath of fresh air to finally began to see the truth in the Scripture. Take your time and let it all soak in, it's a lot to wrap your mind around at first. Join the discussions or ask questions if you like.
