Explaining and Understanding EVIL

Thanks all of you for your comments. I tryed to keep it as short as I could...

IF anyone have ideas of specific examples on how does the spiritual realm affects our

physical world, even examples of daily life.  I think the additions would enrich the train

of thought of this subject greatly.

Kat:

Hi Moises, I have not had any personal experience with a spirit being, that I know of...

Heb 13:2  Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

We know that angel are intelligent beings and they seek better understanding of things happening in this world.

1Peter 1:10  Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you,
v. 11  searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
v. 12  To them (the prophets) it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those (the Apostles) who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.

Now there are a couple of Scripture that I think are very interesting concerning angels and the position they hold. We see in Revelation that John is shown great visions (Rev 9:17) of what is to come to the world in this age.

Rev 1:1  The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

When you go over to chapter 19, by that point John was so completely overwhelmed with the grandeur of the heavenly angel/messenger, and with the amazing truths he was revealing to him, that he actually fell in front of him to give him praise.

Rev 19:10  Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God." For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The angel corrected him, but made an interesting comment "I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers." And again further over the same thing happened again.

Rev 22:9  but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

And the angel again corrected him and said that he was a "fellow servant." Now I guess we all understand that there are Holy angels spoken of and that they are messengers that serve at God's throne and are mentioned throughout the Scripture. Have you ever contemplated that they are "fellow servants" with the elect and what part they may play in serving with them in the next age?

Heb 1:13  But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?
v. 14  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

To just think there is a whole host of Holy beings waiting and ready in heaven to serve with the elect in the next age... I guess the elect will have much help when they are judging this world. Just wanted to bring out these intriguing Scripture.

Its interesting you posted this as I'm reading through JOB right now and listening to Job's friends lambast him and watching Job try and justify himself. What perfect timing for your post!

God bless brother!

I am glad you got it in time!
You are inspiring me to go back to that job book once again. It's been a while since a read the whole book.

Talking about the power of God, reminds me of this verse

"That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but the power of God..." (1Cor. 2:5).

I will re-read this and give it much thought.
It is such a blessing to fellowship with brethren who think alike and think as God would have us to do even though we are all individuals with our own personal experiences and at different stages in our spiritual development.

Thank you kindly, Indiana Bob

Hi Kat

What you brought respecting angels is so very interesting! It makes me wonder if maybe we are as much mystery to them as they are for us, --maybe much less. I wonder about the life of an angel, and how many types of lifestyles for angels they are, I wonder if they are concerned with other things besides sending messages and serve God, I wonder about the ‘large scale of spiritual systems’... Mainly I would like to know to what extend we deal with the influence of angels on a daily base. If the devil has such a great influence in the world today, I wonder if angels also play such a huge roll in influencing our minds and therefore our actions. Seems like the Scriptures talk more about bad spirits than good spirits-- I wonder if they fight constantly on the spiritual realm. It's so hard to think about this things with out images. For some reason I just think that angels are cool dudes. I can't wait to meet one and be friend of a couple ones...
