A great thought provoking melodramatic Love Story
« on: January 19, 2015, 05:36:47 AM »

(As a side Note: "The few whom God had chosen to have faith now until the end" will be represented as "this girl" ).

The story goes as Jesus our All Mighty God knowing the great potential of whom would become "this girl".

"...being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will" (Eph 1:11)

But before He wins her. He emptied Himself of most of His Glory, becomes a human and lives a very tough life.

Eventually, Jesus carefully introduces Himself to her while she is very busy struggling with life, herself and  others.

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” (Eph. 2:2-3)

Anyhow, Jesus with Much Patience and Kindness slowly drags her to Himself. And she gets to know that He really does understands her and all her daily struggles.

"For we have not a high-priest unable to have fellow-feeling with our weaknesses, but one tested in all respects, by way of likeness, apart from sin." (Eph. 4:15 (Rotherham))

"Here is Love, not that we love God, but that He love us" (1Juan 4:10)

Think about it… from Her perception, a most significant act of Love from an ALL POWERFUL God towards a small week human being like her, would be that He would become a human Himself, live a life example through harshness’s, great struggles, and sacrifice himself in a very painful death in pro of His message. That would make the point… that would be significant… because any material present from Him to her would be just giving out of His abundance.

"Hereby perceive we the love of God toward us, because He laid down His life for us"  (1Juan 3:16)

So, after listening and believing how far He was willing to go for Her, and because of other chain of events that Jesus triggered, "This girl" is lead to start getting to know Him better, while He patiently is preparing her and training her, so that she becomes more alike Him and be called her wife!

"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. " (Eph 5:25-27 )

Thanks for putting these verses together to make us think about His patience, love and mercy. It's encouraging to know that we are being prepared to be His wife. And at the same time these verses remind us to be patient with one another, with our brothers like mind, but also with the ones that are still "in the world".

Love you cousin,

Gilberto

Moises G,
Thanks you for the story.  Our Bridegroom is wonderful beyond words.
