Those sweet Celtic tunes..........takes me back to the days of my youth when I would say...........

Cha deoch-slàint, i gun a tràghadh.

That's Gaelic for "It’s no health if the glass is not emptied"

and.....

Ge milis am fìon, tha e searbh ri dhìol - which simply means "The wine is sweet, the paying bitter"


Actually I remember a time in a tavern a long long long time ago I must of had one too many and before I left I shouted out..........

Fear sam bith a loisgeas a mhàs, ‘s e fhèin a dh’fheumas suidhe air - and that means "Whoever burns his backside must himself sit upon it"

The times I had...........and the looks I got..........

Actually none of that happened.........I made it up 

But in closing I will say.......

Is àrd ceann an fhèidh sa chreachann - which I'm sure everyone knows as "Lofty is the deer’s head on the top of the mountain"

It brings tears to a glass eye
