Hello all,
I’m writing to introduce myself to the other members of the forum. This being the first forum that I’ve ever posted on, I’m not really certain about exactly how the process works, so I hope that I’ll be able to figure out how to post and keep up with other recent posts. Regarding my history, influenced by my father’s interest in them, I began reading about the beliefs of the Seventh-Day Adventists and especially the Worldwide Church of God and its offshoots in the mid- to late 1980’s (attending services of the United Church of God for a short time) before eventually becoming quite secular and skeptical (partially due, I think, to the influence of my college education and experience) and later developing a great interest in Eastern philosophy and religion (with the doctrine of universal reconciliation as taught by Ray strongly influencing my return to a Christian belief system by helping to convince me of the superiority of Christianity to such faiths as Hinduism and Buddhism). I became acquainted with the teaching of universal salvation about five or so years ago, mainly through your site and a few others.
I look forward to fellowshipping with and learning from all of the other members and hopefully making a contribution to the discussion.
Your brother in Christ,
Randy
