If I did not take it all seriously, I would not be here, You should all know by now that I have enough trouble with all of this as it is. Ricky
Hi Ricky, I'm sorry this caused you some frustration or even doubt. That was certainly not my intention! If anything, it was to show the sovereignty of God at work with a bit of humor along the way! After all, this creation was MADE SUBJECT to vanity and not by its own will (Romans 8:20). So in it we see the struggle and inability of man to obey God (Psalm 53:2-3) because the clay was marred first in the hands of the potter (Jeremiah 18:4) with a weak heart (Jeremiah 17:9) and the carnal mind is deep seated hatred towards God (Romans 8:7). We who have the firstfruits of the spirit (Romans 8:23, Gal. 4:6) know this and that it is God who calls, chooses, and ultimately justifies His elect (Romans 8:33)--Their names written in the book of life from the very beginning (Rev 17:
.
I delight in God's Word and His truths, my only shame being my inability to follow and obey at all times the Lord I love above all things. I am naked before Him, nothing is Hidden from His eyes. I take this all very seriously but I have grown enough to be able to laugh at my own inability and this condition I see creation in without losing my reverence and love for our very wise Father who in the end, as Kat stated, will save all His creation. His way may seem strange at times but it is for our benefit that things are this way and God's plan is absolutely perfect.
Besides, a little laughter is good every now and then! I'm real big on the laughing, sometimes its the only thing I can do as I wait upon the Lord.
Me sincerest apologies if I created even a moment of doubt for you. I'm in this race with the intent of finishing it!
Hebrews 12:1-2
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Philippians 2:12-13
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Your brother in Christ,
Alex
