One important item that may not have been emphasized yet is that the wife to be, needs to seek lots of advice and counsel when choosing the man into whose hands she will place her life and who she will apparently need to "train" or better stated, teach to love her "as Christ loves the church".

Young men especially haven't a clue about true love and long term care for an independent woman with a mind of her own. They have to learn on the job and it is a challenge for the man and the woman; a challenge that her mother and dad should have begun to explain to her when she was quite young.

Ladies you don't get "prince charming" right out of the box, you have to build him one step at a time, help him to grow in knowledge and grace. That is why God gave the woman the power over men that she has IF she recognizes that she has that power and if she uses it properly and constructively. Most young women haven't a clue...
