Friends and Flowers



They each have a sweetness all their own

They're the seeds which God has sown

He places them in our lives for a time and a season

His plans always have a purpose and a reason

It's up to us to nurture them and watch them grow

In so doing, it's God's love we sow

Watch over them with words of kindness and good deeds

God will always tell you what their soul needs

Water them with drops of encouragement along the way

Give them warmth and space to grow a little each day

As the bud begins to open for all eyes to see

You'll see God's beauty and what friendships can be

Share a little laughter once in a while

And let them know you're there for that extra mile

Then cherish the treasure you have received

A gift of love...as when you first believed.

To God be the Glory!
