Hi Rick, looking at Revelation 9 it seems to be talking about the church down through the centuries. Verse 18 has an indication of that... "By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed," interesting that 1/3 of the worlds population is Christian, has been for over a century, couldn't find any statistics before that. But it is not speaking of being "killed" literally, but they're 'dead' in trespasses and sin, spoken of many times in Scripture. The church is the Christian's guide and leads them to destruction. As Jesus said "broad is the way that leads to destruction" and "let the dead bury their own dead." If you think about the symbolism in that chapter, it really fits the church to me. Also look at verse 11.

Rev 9:11  And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon (G3 - a destroying angel), but in Greek he has the name Apollyon (G623 - a destroyer (that is, Satan):).

Also in chapter 11 the two witnesses, the two olive tree are the elect, not just two of them, but all of them down through the centuries.

Rom 11:17  And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,

Anyway just some thoughts.

It amazing what we some times think is right couldn't be futher from the truth, there seems to be much new truths in my understanding in conflict with false doctrine and preconceived ideas before B.t.

1Th_5:6  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1Pe_4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Rev_3:3  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

We'll know when the time comes.

What we are seeing happen here in the UK at present, reminds me so much of when Ray spoke of when the towers fall. We are witnessing the EU falling and our govt and political parties are just in turmoil. No leaders of the parties, so they are destroying themselves from within. Babylon falling.
