--- Quote from: Rick on July 25, 2016, 12:21:14 PM ---Hi George,

We know that there are those who have added to the word of God and subtract from the word of God.

I don't think it matters because the masses are blinded by the devil and they cannot see but you see because you picked up on it right away which is in itself a testimony that God is working in your life.

We know that all who are blind will one day see because Jesus is savior of the whole world and there is no such thing as eternal damnation as some would have us believe.

God bless.

Noted.

What I am saying is this, there are a number of Scriptural Passages in the KJV Bible that have been altered; and if you check any physical or online KJV Bible source, you will discover that it is as if these Scriptures were always this way.

Check another Scripture:

Isaiah 65:25: (KJV):

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.

Should this not read 'The Lion and the lamb shall lie together'.

If you Google (Images) this, you will see an anomaly, in that there are both images of the lamb with either a Fox, or a Lion.

Kind Regards.

Curious, George.

--- Quote from: Joel on July 25, 2016, 12:48:22 PM ---My understanding of Easter is that it was a heathen, or pagan holiday, long before the Christians associated Easter with the resurrection of Christ.
Herod no doubt observed all of the Roman activities himself. (Acts 12:4)

Joel

You have missed the point I am making; in that it is not just that 'Easter' replaced the original KJV word, it is as if, 'Easter' was always in the KJV Bible.

Look below regarding the Matthew 9:17 KJV Bible Scripture.

Please check any hard copy KJV Bible or any online KJV Bible.

This is what is should be:

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."

Compare that with this:

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Regards.

George

Hi George,

I had an old King James Version and your right in the old version it read wine skins and not bottles. I remember that scripture.

I understand there are changes being made in today's bibles but like Ray said do you think the churches which were corrupt back then has gotten any better?

I wonder if you brought that to the publishers attention if they would make a correction ? Or do you believe it's being done by design?

Ray is right again about Satan deceiving the whole world and you know he is very good at it.
George, to me, everything in this aged is totally corrupt.

Now your seeing the bible being corrupted too. Ray did mention that he felt the King James was a very good translation of the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts but these new edition maybe Ray might not of said today what he said then.

My belief is that God can work around all things and get the truth to His elect so why worry about it, what is not corrupt ?

God bless.

Hi George, I don't have a hard copy KJV, but looks like it's always been "old bottles", "easter" and "wolf and lamb".

You can see the scan of the first printing of the 1611 KJV here (you can click to enlarge the imagines):

If you do a search on this forum for Matthew 9:17 - you will find:

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

But if you look in a KJV Bible online or in a physical version you will find:

Matthew 9:17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

George
