Reflections of My Life
« on: June 03, 2017, 11:59:22 PM »

When I was much younger this was a popular song.

"Time and tide wait for no man"  https://youtu.be/Dn9bAvWS4RU

I can relate. My 20's don't seem that long ago. Part of the plan.

Sweet song.

When I reflect back, I see more and more how God was shaping my life to come to this place of truth and understanding.  This life journey has been a humbling and oftentimes painful experience, but the hope and promise of our future salvation gives me strength to carry on and look forward instead of backwards. :)

Thanks for sharing Dennis, that was enjoyable and relevant.

Sometimes I think the only thing that keeps me sane is the "hope and promise of our future salvation".

Great song Dennis, Thanks.
Changing is what it's all about. God is changing everybody to be just like his son Jesus.I think it's the
greatest Love story ever told. It's the Pure Love and the promise of salvation that keeps me going forward.

My first change involved hot flashes too 😂 😂

20-something was fine when I was 20-something.  But I wouldn't want to go back.  Except for the music.  Much of it is still relevant to me.  Fine piece of juxtaposition in that video.

Heb 10:32  But you must continue to remember those earlier days, how after you were enlightened you endured a hard and painful struggle.

Dennis:  thanks for sharing this song; I, too, remember it and the emotion it brings out;  this morning it meant even more as my father died just over a month ago and my brother 7 months earlier so it brought  happy/sad tears as I did a lot of reflecting
