another dog tale

Hello forum , This morning I went for a morning walk and few km into the woods I heard a panting and paws running behind me which I think was a border collie. There was a collar on its neck with a phone number and the name "salty" . In Australia at the moment it's winter and heavy frosts, even snow on the hills. When I called the number it turned out that old "salty" had walked from his owners place - 6 kilometers through pristine farmland and ended up near my place.  :)

Some salty dogs are sea-faring...some, apparently, prefer the farm-life.  He's glad he found you, if if he doesn't know it.
